More successful Telugu Movies expected in 2012

2012 is the best year of Telugu cinema in the recent times! Stats are in support to the statement as Telugu cinema is shining like never before. This year started on a promising note with Businessman introducing new business model to the biggies. It was released in thousand theaters and minted crores of rupees within no time.

Later the same was followed for Racha and it bettered the records set by Businessman. Now Gabbar Singh has turned the biggest hit of the year within two weeks. Small films like Ishq and Poola Rangadu were good hits. Ee Rojullo, a film which was made on a shoestring budget went on to become a big hit for its investment. Bodyguard and Dammu are the two biggies that misfired at the box office, but somehow managed to get out with few losses.

There are few more promising projects that are lined up for release in the next couple of months. Endukante Premanta, Eega, Rebel and Dhamarukam are a few to name. Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu and Ram Charan will have one more release this year and that means the second half of the year is likely to witness few more potential films to rule the box office. On the commercial front, 2012 is turning out to be a splendid year for Tollywood. Touchwood!
